Brown and Lunar Trace Bowl
This is a Mino ware tableware.
This is a limited stock item. We recommend that you purchase as soon as possible.
A small Mino ware bowl that celebrates simplicity and quiet charm. The rich reddish-brown clay is accented with a bold gold brushstroke—resembling a crescent moon glowing in the night sky.
Its rough, unglazed texture and naturally uneven form make each piece one of a kind.
Ideal as a rice bowl or for small servings, it brings a subtle, earthy elegance to your everyday table.
Please note that the appearance and texture may vary slightly from piece to piece. Thank you for your understanding.
Mino ware originated during the Momoyama period, alongside the rise of the tea ceremony, and is primarily produced in Toki City, Gifu Prefecture. It was particularly loved by tea masters during the birth of Japan’s wabi-sabi culture. Notable types of Mino ware include the refined pale yellow Kizeto, the glossy jet-black Setoguro, the soft milky-white Shino ware, and the uniquely green-patterned Oribe ware. Today, Mino ware accounts for more than half of all porcelain tableware produced in Japan.
